Gain the confidence to live on your own terms. We provide practical Improved Daily Living Skills Gold Coast and Brisbane programs designed to boost your independence and help you master everyday tasks.

At Auswide Care, we believe that independence looks different for everyone. For some, it’s cooking a healthy meal; for others, it’s managing a weekly budget or catching a bus alone. Our Life Skills Development service is all about equipping you with the tools you need to navigate the world with confidence.
Funded under the NDIS Improved Daily Living category, our programs move beyond basic care. We focus on teaching and mentoring. Our goal is not to do things for you, but to teach you how to do them yourself.
If you are looking for life skills development NDIS support in the Gold Coast and Brisbane, our patient and experienced mentors are here to guide you. We take the time to understand your personal goals and create a learning plan that is practical, fun, and effective.
Our daily living skills training is hands-on and takes place in real-world environments, not just classrooms.
Cooking & Nutrition: Learning to plan menus, shop for groceries, and cook nutritious meals safely.
Household Management: Mastering cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a tidy home environment.
Budgeting: Learning how to manage money, pay bills, and save for the things you want.
Personal Hygiene: Developing independent routines for showering, grooming, and self-care.
Travel Training: Learning to use public transport (buses/trams) or NDIS Transport Gold Coast and Brisbane services to get around the Gold Coast.
Communication: Building confidence in speaking with shopkeepers, doctors, and new friends.
Digital Literacy: Learning to use computers, smartphones, and the internet safely.
Road Safety: Understanding how to navigate traffic and stay safe while out in the community.
We empower you with practical life skills that foster independence and confidence for the future.
Learning new skills takes patience and trust. You need a mentor who believes in your potential.
This service is primarily funded under the Capacity Building budget in your NDIS plan.
(Also known as CB Daily Activity). This funding is specifically designed for assessment, training, or therapy to help increase your skills, independence, and community participation.
Unlike Core Supports (which are flexible), Improved Daily Living funds must be used for skill-building activities. We can help you understand your budget and ensure you are getting the most value from your plan.
We adhere strictly to the NDIS Pricing Arrangements . Our rates are transparent, and we ensure every hour billed is dedicated to your development.

You can learn almost any skill that relates to your disability and helps you live more independently. Common examples include cooking, cleaning, budgeting, using public transport, and social skills.
In some cases, yes. If your disability makes learning to drive more difficult than it would be for others, the NDIS may fund specialised driving lessons. However, they usually do not pay for the license fees or the car itself.
